Transition: Verb, Undergo a process of change
All successful transitions require action, whether it is planning or implementation oriented. But, how does transitioning fit into the context of college life? What does it mean to student groups and organizations? The goal of a successful student organization transition phase is to effectively pass information between old and new leadership teams and clearly outline the trajectory of an organization.
For this goal to be met there are three areas of focus: construction, communication and creation.
- Construction: Compiling and organizing all relevant organization information
- Communication: Osmosis of information between outgoing and incoming leadership teams
- Creation: Figuring out where the student organization goes next
So what now? Look through our resources on Construction, Communication, and Creation to work your way to a successful transition.
